Welschnofen (Nova Levante) lies at around 1,200 metres in the Eggental valley, nestled between two of the most iconic mountain ranges in the Dolomites: the Rosengarten (Catinaccio) and the Latemar. The area is part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site and combines unspoilt nature with authentic South Tyrolean charm. The rock faces that glow pink at sunset, a phenomenon known as "Alpenglow", shape the landscape in every season.

In winter, skiing starts virtually on your doorstep. A gondola runs straight from the village into the Carezza Dolomites ski area, with around 40 km of pistes, sunny slopes and a long run back down to Welschnofen. The resort is part of Dolomiti Superski. The Obereggen ski area at the foot of the Latemar is also within easy reach, and the Val di Fassa opens the way to the famous Sellaronda circuit. Cross-country skiing, tobogganing and snowshoeing round off the winter offering.

In summer, an extensive network of trails offers hikes for every level, from a gentle stroll to the famous Lake Carezza to mountain hikes and via ferratas on the Rosengarten. The Eggental valley is also a popular destination for mountain bikers and e-bikers, with well-marked routes through alpine pastures, forests and mountain passes. A golf course at the Costalunga Pass adds to the range of leisure activities.

Despite its peaceful mountain setting, Welschnofen is exceptionally well connected. Bolzano, the provincial capital, with its shopping, culture and dining, is around 20 minutes away by car. Bolzano Airport is approximately 30 kilometres away, and the Brenner motorway provides easy access to Innsbruck, Munich and Verona.

Welschnofen offers the best of both worlds: peace and nature in the heart of the Dolomites, with quick connections to the city and beyond.
